Implants:
Doctor Spector and Doctor Migdal's implantology experience brings
world class implant dentistry to your back door. After completing a
2 year surgical/restorative implant residency at NYU in 1994, the
doctors stayed on to teach the program for many years, helping
established dentists from around the country incorporate implant
dentistry into their practices. All phases of the implant process
are done right here in our facility. From Snap tight dentures to
permanent tooth replacement, dental implants can restore your
confidence and help you live a better lifestyle. For individuals who
wish to replace missing teeth, dental implants may be an effective
long-term solution. Dental implants provide greater structural
support and last longer than either dental bridges or dentures.
Dental implants serve as the artificial root to which new teeth are
bonded. They are typically constructed of titanium, a strong and
safe material that effectively attaches to the bone. The procedure
to insert dental implants typically involve three steps: the implant
insertion stage, osseointegration (the period of healing for the
jawbone), and the attachment of the restoration or new tooth. If you
are missing teeth or suffering with loose uncomfortable dentures ask
us how dental implants can help you.

Invisalign:

Invisalign straightens your teeth with a series of clear, virtually
invisible custom-molded aligners. It's the clear alternative to
metal braces. By using a series of clear, removable aligners,
Invisalign straightens your teeth with results you'll notice sooner
than you think. The course of treatment involves changing aligners
approximately every two weeks, moving your teeth into straighter
position step by step, until you have a more beautiful smile. And
unlike braces, these clear aligners can be removed while you eat and
brush your teeth as usual. An average invisalign course of treatment
takes about a year. You'll see your Invisalign Certified
Orthodontist or Dentist every 6-8 weeks for adjustments and to check
progress. At regular intervals, you'll receive a new set of
custom-molded clear aligners to continue the straightening process.
The total number of clear aligners is specific to you, determined by
your doctor and for your course of treatment. If you'd like to know
if you are an invisalign candidate please call our office to speak
with a doctor.

Veneers:

An excellent alternative to crowns, veneers can be perfect for your
smile by masking stains, hiding chips, correcting misalignment, and
creating uniformity. Veneers, which are made of thin, customized
material designed to slide over the teeth, look incredibly natural,
are long-lasting, and are relatively easy to apply. Your new veneers
can be designed and bonded in as little as an hour with our in-house
CEREC 3D technology. To learn more about dental veneers, please
contact us to schedule a complementary cosmetic consultation with
the doctor.

Teeth Whitening Options:
Tooth whitening can brighten up your entire face, and it is a
procedure that is constantly in demand. Our whitening specialist
takes the time to make sure your results look natural while ensuring
your comfort and safety throughout your tooth whitening treatment.
Regardless of how well you care for your teeth, it is inevitable
that, over time, some yellowing or discoloration will occur. This
gradual change can be caused by aging, substances that stain your
teeth (such as coffee and tobacco), excessive fluoride, or
deterioration of a tooth's nerve. A tooth whitening treatment can be
performed either as an at-home, dentist-supervised process or in the
dentist's chair. While neither of these methods stops future
discoloration, these tooth whitening treatments bring about whiter
teeth and help create a brighter smile. There is no such thing as
the best whitening solution - the best is to have options and to
consult our doctors on which option would be best fitted to you
specifically.

Full Mouth Restorations:
Sometimes, patients come in needing a significant amount of dental
work. There can be a number of reasons for this. In some cases,
badly neglected teeth need substantial restorative work to return
them to full functionality. In others, regular dental work has been
preformed over the years, but in piecemeal fashion with various
dentists. There "one-off" fixes may not function well as a unit or
may have begun to deteriorate at different rates. Other causes can
include periodontal problems, the need to remove mercury amalgam
fillings, or crowded, badly aligned, or aging teeth that are
contributing to bite alignment problems or teeth and jaw wear.
Thanks to advances in restorative materials, Gentle Dentistry can
offer superior, natural looking restorations that are almost
impossible to distinguish from your own teeth. Contact us to find
out what a full mouth restoration could do for your smile and your
lifestyle.

Reconstructive Dentistry:
Our practice is proud to offer comprehensive reconstructive
dentistry with a focus on beautiful, natural-looking results.
Reconstructive dentistry seeks to repair or replace damaged teeth in
order to return your mouth to full functionality and aesthetic
balance. This work can range from simple fillings, crowns, and
veneers to more complex root canal therapy and periodontal
treatment. Emergency problems are always cared for first. Then we
plan for any corrective treatment you will need. A thorough
examination, medical history, and X-rays are essential to a proper
diagnosis and treatment plan. We will also show you how to
effectively clean your mouth and prevent disease. Only then will you
begin a mutually acceptable restoration program. Our goal is to
restore your teeth so that you will have the least chance of ever
needing to repair them again. For more information on reconstructive
dentistry, please contact our office.

Tooth Colored Restorations:

Gone are the days when tooth ailments and cavities could only be
treated with unsightly metal fillings. Today, modern, tooth-colored
fillings made of durable resin or porcelain can be bonded to your
teeth for a stronger, more natural-looking effect. These
revolutionary fillings are virtually undetectable and are easy to
apply. To find out if tooth-colored fillings are a good option for
you, please contact us today.

Metal Free/Mercury Free Dentistry:
As part of our commitment to the highest standard of patient safety
and quality care, Gentle Dentistry practices mercury and metal free
dentistry. Mercury amalgam - composed of 50% mercury and 50% silver,
tin, or copper alloy - releases mercury vapor over time that can be
harmful to patients. Our practices uses porcelain or durable resin
filling and restoration materials and is committed to the safe
removal and disposal of patients' current dental amalgam fillings.
Metal free dentistry is not only safer, it is also durable,
long-lasting, and aesthetically much more pleasing. To learn more
about our mercury and metal free dentistry, please contact us.

Periodontal Gum Therapy:
Unfortunately, periodontal (gum) disease can lead to more than just
an unsightly smile - it can cause loss of teeth and eventually, if
left untreated, serious health problems. Called gingivitis in its
early stages , periodontal disease is caused by excessive toxic
bacteria (found in plaque) that attack your mouth's soft tissues.
Early warning signs of the disease include red, swollen, bleeding
gums. If caught early, we can help you reverse the damage or if
detected late, we can use one of many effective reconstructive or
cosmetic dentistry procedures restore your moth to a healthy,
beautiful state. For more information on periodontal therapy or if
you think you may have gum disease please call us right away so that
help get your mouth healthier.

General & Preventative Dental Care:
Other generally common procedures that we can do for you include:
crowns, inlays & onlays, root canals by an endodontist, extreme
smile makeovers (as seen on TV), advanced laser gym care, bonding,
extractions, TMJ therapy, and fresh breath treatment.
Twice-daily brushings and regular flossing are excellent for
maintenance between office visits, but a healthy mouth and beautiful
smile require routine general and preventative care to stay that
way. Gentle Dentistry offers general care that includes thorough
dental exams and cleans as well as a full evaluation of a patient's
oral condition. Our preventative care includes fluoride treatment,
gum (periodontal) evaluation, and oral cancer screening designed to
help you maintain your smile's health and beauty. Keep your teeth
and gyms strong and disease-free. Contact our office today to
schedule a cleaning or consultation.
