Planning Your Case

Once you are happy with the look of your smile, we will take cone beam CT images of your mouth to capture highly detailed x-rays that show bone volume, location of nerves and position of tooth roots. We use these images to create a dental implant guide, which shows us exactly where your implants should be placed for long-term stability. Guided implant surgery removes all guesswork out of the surgery and gives you accurate and safe results.

Placing Your Dental Implants

Before surgery, you have the option of sedation to prevent anxiety or dental fear and to help block any sensations of discomfort. Our oral surgeon, Our certified anesthesiologist can provide soothing and safe IV sedation. Using the dental implant guide, we will place implants into the areas of your mouth where you are missing teeth. We replace single missing teeth with individual dental implants, but can also replace entire arches of teeth through the Hybridge® implant system. Hybridge® utilizes just five to six dental implants to support a full arch prosthesis.

Restoring Your Teeth with Crowns

After your dental implants are placed, you won’t have to go to an outside practice for your final teeth—at Gentle Dentistry we can do that in-office. When you have just simple missing teeth to replace, our CEREC® technology can fabricate a dental crown the same day your implant was placed, so you will never have to go any time without teeth or with temporaries.

Healing After Surgery

The healing for our dental implant surgery is minimal due to how gentle our procedure is. You will be prescribed some pain medication, but most patients don’t need to take it for more than a few days. You will have to eat soft foods and should avoid drinking from straws or smoking for the first few weeks. Most patients are able to eat and chew again like normal shortly after surgery and are back to their normal lifestyles within days.
